Terry Jones and Outdoor Ed Venture

Terry Jones has been an outdoor enthusiast for more than 25 years. He was introduced to the full range of outdoor activities whilst serving with the armed services. During this time Terry gained military qualifications in expedition leadership, kayaking, parachuting, sub aqua diving and sailing.
Postings in the UK and overseas enabled him to lead and participate in mountain and river based expeditions in a range of environments. This included in the UK - Brecon Beacons, Scottish Highlands and Snowdonia and overseas - Germany, the Falkland Islands, South America, the Middle East and Africa.

'Learning through Adventure'

In 2003 Terry returned to full time education to complete an HND in Sport Science (Outdoor Education). Terry used this time to update his skills in the full range of outdoor activities and to convert his military qualifications to the civilian recognised National Governing Body qualifications.
Terry is a qualified adult and further education teacher and holds national governing body qualifications in the following outdoor activity areas:
- Canoeing
- Kayaking
- Caving
- Climbing
- Mountaineering

Terry also holds the OCR Level 3 qualification in Off Site Safety Management, which is the benchmark qualification in outdoor activities.
Terry set up his company Outdoor Ed Venture in 2006. His company prides itself on high quality customer care, uses only qualified instructors and aims to combine adventure with a learning experience.
